Tessa Alexander and the Robert Reid Trio

An evening of Jazz in New York

Lesley recently returned to the UK after an international career as a versatile jazz and soul singer. She has performed at all the top jazz clubs including the Playboy Club, the Blue Note and the Cotton Club in New York and numerous others in Europe and worldwide. She has often been booked to follow world famous artists such as Dionne Warwick and Sammy Davis Jnr, and recorded the soundtrack for the film "Get Carter" starring Michael Caine. She is a class act. The Robert Reid trio plays at many jazz venues in the South East and supported Acker Bilk when he played for us at Scotney Castle in 2008.

“The sound was so rich: it was difficult to work out, with my eyes closed, whether she was black or white."
